Following the rich tradition of sampling in Hip Hop, this MPC Expansion includes dusty jazz piano chords, soulful guitar licks, lush neo-soul keys, live bass, a huge selection of live recorded drums & percussion, slick off-beat drum rhythms, vintage lo-fi sounds and more. With a live and organic feel, this dynamic collection covers a range of styles: from old school jazz progressions to modern neo-soul harmony, and from dusty lo-fi chill-hop grooves to snappy head-nodding beats. All sounds and samples have been professionally crafted, mixed and mastered, ready to inject some laid-back soul into your productions. Also included is a collection of 15 playable multi-sampled instruments—a selection of fully sampled live guitar and bass guitar instruments, plus a variety of vintage synth sounds—so you can create your own melodies, chords, and bass lines. Each kit includes an expertly programmed sequence, so you can check how they sound before loading them up, as well as providing ideas and inspiration for your own beats!

Bringing you 40 kits rooted in that classic late-70s/early 80s Funk, this time out they invited some of their funky friends to give you exclusive sounds found NOWHERE else! First up, multi-instrumentalist and master percussionist, Carl “Butch” Smalls, who played with Parliament, Bootsy’s Rubber Band, The Dramatics, and more, brings his percussion talents that were so prevalent and integral on classic Death Row Records’ releases from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, and Tha Dogg Pound to name but a few. The shakers, vibraslaps, and congas come alive for the end user, allowing them the opportunity to use vintage instruments played by a musician with one of kind resume. How can you have an expansion pack covering this Funk era without some talk box? Next up, SlimWav (Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, Summer Walker, Bryson Tiller, and more) delivers some expert vocals via this instrument, allowing the end user to season up their productions with some hard-to-find funked out vocals. He REALLY opens up, gets busy, and rounds out the kit with excellent vocal fills and phrasings. Lastly, be sure to check the 24 Keygroups that we carefully processed using outboard analog gear: SSL Fusion and Eventide H7600.
